To create your delicious Vegan Chilli, first prepare your ingredients.

 

Recipe Kit Components

  • 74g Wheat Protein
  • 44g Seasoning

Ingredients to add

  • 200ml Water
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 x Can of chopped tomatoes (400g)
  • 1 x Tablespoon of Tomato Puree
  • 1 x Small can of Kidney beans (130g drained weight)
  • 1 x Tablespoon of cooking oil

Optional (to serve)

  • Boiled Rice / microwave rice
  • Coriander (chopped)
  • Lime wedges

 

How to prepare the Vegan Chilli

1. Combine the seasoning and wheat protein in a large bowl, pour over the water and mix well, leaving to hydrate.

2. Heat the oil in a saucepan over a medium to high heat and add the onion, stir and soften.

3. Add both the tomato puree, chopped tomatoes, and the kidney beans. Mix well and simmer for 10 minutes.

4. Add the vegan protein mix and stir for 5 minutes. Check the consistency and add a splash of water if required.

5. Sprinkle over the chopped coriander, squeeze over the lime and spoon onto plates of steaming hot rice.

The Vegan Chilli Non Carne is also delicious on nachos, and in tacos or burritos.
