To create your delicious Vegan Bolognese, first prepare your ingredients.

Recipe Kit Components

  • 74g wheat protein
  • 42g Seasoning

Ingredients to Add

  • 200ml cold water
  • 1 onion (chopped)
  • 1 x 400g tin chopped tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon tomato puree
  • 1 carrot (diced or grated)  
  • 1 tablespoon cooking oil

 

Optional (To Serve)

  • Spaghetti or tagliatelle
  • Fresh basil
  • Vegan cheese

 

How to prepare Vegan Bolognese

1. Combine the seasoning and wheat protein in a large bowl, then add the water and mix well, leaving to hydrate.

2. Meanwhile, heat the oil in a large saucepan over a medium-to-high heat. Add the onion and carrot then stir for a few minutes until softened.

3. Add the chopped tomatoes and tomato puree to the pan. Stir and simmer for 10 minutes.

4. Next, add the vegan protein mix, stir and heat gently for 5 minutes. Check the consistency and add a splash of water if required.

5. Serve with cooked pasta and garnish with a few basil leaves and grated vegan cheese to serve — enjoy!
